The Thirty Years' War began as a religious rebellion inside the Holy Roman Empire and eventually enveloped most of Europe. It is considered one of the most destructive and devastating of the European wars, significantly decreasing populations on the continent via famine, disease, and brutality from invading armies. Mercenaries and soldiers in standing armies were expected to support themselves by looting and extorting, which created great hardships for the civilian population.
First Legion launched the range on a lighter note, producing the famous Musketeers in decidedly non-combat poses. The potential for different factions and figures are almost limitless as the breadth of Europe was eventually consumed by the series of conflicts.
