First Legion
The Kingdom of Saxony joined the French Empire in 1806 and after sending troops to fight in the War of the Fifth Coalition in 1809, it was clear that they needed a reorganization along the lines of the more modern French army. First Legion has created a grouping of the unique Garde du Corps to expand the Emperor's forces, or possibly the Coalition if assembling a display taking place during the War of the Seventh Coalition, when the Saxons switched allegiance.
This cavalryman has spotted a likely enemy on his left and readies a cross-body cut to bring the man down.
