First Legion
Once the initial charge was driven home most heavy cavalry became disorganized, leaving individuals to chase down the fleeing enemy. Lances focus the energy of the charge into a tiny point, but the weapon often breaks after contact. The sword is less fragile, but limits the reach and the amount of force that can be transferred. This knight spurs his mount into a gallop, giving chase to fleeing rabble.
First Legion carefully crafted the mounted French knights so that the visor can be raised or lowered.
