The British Dominions played an important and gallant role with Britain’s own army on the Western Front. Australia was one of the first to “answer the call” of the Mother Country and send troops to fight, first in Egypt, then Gallipoli and on to France.
This Advancing Officer figure is in a choice of 3 Separate Infantry Battalions from the Australian States of Victoria, Queensland and New South Wales.

All three fought with distinction at Gallipoli before moving to France and the Western Front and fighting there for the remainder of the war as part of the Australian First Infantry Division.
