Limited Edition pewter sculpture certified November 2, 1977.
Issue No. 13
The thirteenth and final pewter figure issued by the Bicentennial Council of the Thirteen Original States to honor The Fighting Men of the American Revolution portrays an artilleryman in the Rhode Island Train of Artillery. Armed with an assortment of field pieces and cannons, this unit joined American forces besieging British troops in Boston in 1775. Artillerymen from this unit then helped defend Rhode Island against British attack for the remainder of the Revolution.
