Del Prado SNC049 Horse Grenadier Scout, Imperial Guard, 1813
A regiment of light horse was raised on 2 December 1799. They became Grenadiers heval in December 1800 and named the Grenadiers heval de la Garde des Consuls. On 18 May 1804, the day when Napoleon was proclaimed Emperor, they were renamed the Grenadiers heval de la Garde Impale. Their strength was 1,018 troopers organised in four squadrons of two companies each.
