AA32203 North American P-51D Mustang, USAAF 332nd FG, 100th FS Tuskegee Airmen, "Bunnie", March 1945

Limited Edition #2272 of 5000

1:72 Scale, Measures 5.25" nose to tail x 6.25" wingspan

The Tuskegee Airmen of The Fighting "Red Tails" as they were also known, were the 332nd FG, the only Negro-manned unit in the US Army Air Force. This P-51D has often been incorrectly assigned to Col. Benjamin Davis, CO of the 332nd FG as he was pictured flying it in a series of publicity shots to show the commanders of the four 15th AAF Mustang groups, but he had merely stood in for Roscoe Brown. Named "Bunnie" after Brown's daughter, he scored 2 kills in it, one against an Me 262.
