These hand-painted collectors' soldiers depict a patrol on the Irish border, searching for arms and explosives. All wear the distinctive "red beret" of the Paras and carry SLRs, Sterling SMGs and GPMG. The three Para battalions served in Northern Ireland throughout the 1970s on rotating tours of duty.
